Grocery Shopping at the Amish stores and the Menu plan 7/5/22!

We decided on a trip to the Amish stores today.  One is an old Order Amish discount store, called Yoder's, and the other is more Mennonite I think, called The Country Market.

Both stores don't really have the amount on the name on the receipt per item.  At Yoder's we spent $19.11 including the underarm deodorant and the sunscreen.  I did really well there with my ankle just pushing a cart.  It's getting better but I never did know it took so long to heal a sprained ankle.

Then on to the Country Market we went.  Husband said I should ride one of the motorized carts and believe me they are so nice.   I did manage to embarrass myself (I tend to do that a lot).  I motorized myself over to where he was at and I ran into a shelf,  he told me I would have to back up and so I did while running in to the shelf behind me.  It was like I was playing bumper cars.  I had everyone in the store cracking up laughing as they came into the store.  He will never let me down with this one.

Anyway this ham is one of the best deals we got $12.42 for a little over 8 pounds.  We had to really look for the deals here though.

The total for Country Market was $101.00.

Menu Plan

Monday  (the 4th)  BBQ ribs and baked beans, plus Potato salad

Tuesday                 Some of the great roasted chicken from the  County Market Amish Store

Wednesday            Leftovers from 4th of July

Thursday               Pork Chops, green beans, and a salad

Friday                   Spaghetti

Saturday                Hamburger steak, salad, and potato

Sunday                  Sunday Ham dinner, mashed potatoes, and rolls.

How did you do grocery shopping or tell me what's on your Menu?

Those carts are so easy to crash. Each one has their own quirks and most do not stop when you release the handle.

We had family in over the weekend and now we have a ton of leftovers to eat. Some went in the freezer but most just need eating. So, once we have taken care of all of those we will move on to something new.

Have a good week and I hope you are fully healed real soon!

Great deals. Wow, on the ham! I miss going to the Mennonite market. Right now just too much road construction to get there. Maybe in the fall with a friend!
Have a good one.
