It's been a beautiful Spring here in Michigan. It's raining here today so I'm catching up on laundry and cleaning.
The garden was dry enough to plow. Well, he had a little bit of trouble with the mud but he got it done. This will help it dry up a lot and we will plow again closer to planting time.
I was able to plant onions in the raised bed in the back this past week. I bought the onion plants at the farm store two weeks ago and stored them in the fridge till I was able to get back there.
The greenhouse is getting full. You see that red planter in front? It's like a greenstalk. I bought it at a garage sale for $5.00.
I planted one of the raised beds we bought for $10. this past winter. I planted some cabbage and marigolds. We have another one but the chickens have to get out of it before I can plant it.
We've been watching our daughter's dog and the cat is pretty mad about the whole situation. I can't believe the face my cat can make. The dog is pretty scared of him, poor thing.

We got past the freeze here in Ohio, not much damage for us but more than one Amish lost their peas so they are replanting. I just sent a letter to a young Amish couple that moved to Brown City Michigan. The husband built our grandfather clock.
Was suppose to get an inch of rain today so didn't get the lift to replace the woodshed roof... of course it only rained early morning and no where near even a half inch.
Blessed be
You are doing good and have a good start on things. My garden is probably a good week or 2 away. At least the pup and kitty aren't fighting!!
Chef, I looked up brown City and its about an hour from us. The Amish seem to like us more and more in Michigan.
I hope you get to put your roof on soon.
Cheryl the cat and dog do not like each other at all. The dog got away from me and I about had a heart attack trying too catch him. The neighbors helped me ..I was so grateful.
I would love to plant the garden right now but like you its a three weeks before we can. Have a great weekend!
Great find on the red planter! I just love your greenhouse. I'm sure the cat is not a happy camper. LOL
ha ha Belinda, we will see the dog again on Monday...the cat has slept 16 hours so far...it's tough being a guard the house cat.
