Chrome and Ice, Valentine's day, and Snow!

Our fun last weekend!

We went to the indoor car show, Chrome and Ice...Loved it and we got all these freebies.   Lip balm, magnets, trays, bags, locks, lunch bags, stress cars, etc.   A lot of fun!

I loved all the cars but I was impressed by these racing things...two kids, a brother and sister, race them.  They were like 7 and 10 or something...wild.

What did he give me for Valentine's Day you ask?  Well we went out to breakfast and had a great time.  Flowers can give us sinus problems in the house in the winter and I don't want candy...so he bought a dozen donuts yesterday LOL.

The rest of the week we have battled snow.  Now listen we were amazed at the totals in the southern states ..because we only had cold and a little snow for us. Nothing we couldn't handle.  Then ...let me tell you.  The first round was 7 inches on Thursday night (another snow day for the kids)...between today and tomorrow will be 11 inches more they say.  We are getting pay back.  LOL

It's pretty though!

Our Time is Limited, Outside to do list, and the Good deals I bought Online this Past Week!

Our time is limited. ..We can only bask in 60 to 70 degree weather so long until we have this... snow.  Was this click bait...I think so.  ha ha.

There are a few little things we didn't get wrapped up outside so I'm going to get the ball rolling today.   We won't be able to snowplow with all the things in the way.

to do:

take odds and ends to the trash that are in the yard.  I never feel guilty about this because people pick it up before the trashmen come.

empty rain barrels.  I have two -one is done

get the chicken waterer heater going.

take up patio rug and move the patio furniture to the side.

I never did get the garden pots all clean -maybe I can get that done too.=I just through the rest into the green house and called it good.

Good deals I bought online this past week:  (I follow many different deal bloggers)

I bought a Costco membership for $65.00 and will receive a $45.00 gift card soon (so $20).  We have one that will open by us soon and we will decide if we want to keep up the membership after this year.  In the meantime we went to the Auburn Hills Costco to start the membership.  Let me just say I hope and pray that ours is not that busy!

Our election day cake that granddaughter and I made with the frosting I got on sale.

From Amazon I bought a Duncan Hines Carrot Cake for $1.00, Duncan Hines Whipped White Frosting, 8-14 OZ Cans for $6.65, and Fresh Step Clumping Cat Litter with Febreze Gain Scent, 14 lb for $4.65 (subscribe and save).

Hardcover book I bought this week was  When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Harold S. Kushner.   I guess there is a newer edition but I bought this one.  I've heard good things about this book.

A Michigan Spring and our Outdoor Fridge plus My To Do List!

There is a quiet when snow falls. That was the one thing that I have missed this winter that we've had without snow, was the quiet.  When there is snow you hear less noise like traffic and planes.   It's is a wonderful peace!

Having an outdoor fridge is another benefit of snow and cold. Our fridge requires defrosting about once a year.  Oh it's frostless but ice forms in the freezer and clogs up everything.  We picked a perfect day to do this job... today-it's both cold and snowy and we can just put stuff outside without worry about anything being ruined.  We have a fridge just outside our door.  The joy of having a Michigan winter  I mean Spring!

I've started back with a to do list this week.  Life gets busy and I try to get something on my list done everyday

Outside work:

If weather permits this week I hope to finish caulking the greenhouse.

Keep cleaning and organizing garage.

Inside work

Clean carpets

Defrost the fridge

Peel and freeze garlic into cubes (I've been watching how to do this on youtube).

Clean that corner of the kitchen that I've been neglecting.

How is it been going at your house?
