This Fall in Michigan has been just beautiful. Although we had a bit of a snow last weekend it has straightened back up and our temps have been in the 60's and 70's! We had a wonderful time up north seeing the fall colors. We always love to stop at the markets on the way up and get some great deals on produce.
We were able to buy a 50 lb bag of potatoes for $7.00 (unclassified) and a 5 lb bag on big sweet onions for $5.00. Good deals. On Wednesday we decided we couldn't wait any longer to see how those potatoes fried up! They were delicious!
Our menu changes frequently in my home with use of leftovers, garden produce, deals, or special occasions that come up. With that in mind I have decided to tell you what we have had this past week instead of what I have planned ahead.
Sunday Church potluck -I took Sauerkraut, smoked sausage, and potatoes in the crockpot along with an apple pie. I made sure to bring back leftovers for youngest daughter.
Monday Fall Color Tour - Out to eat
Tuesday Turkey Chili
Wednesday Chili Cheese Fries (made fries from the potatoes we bought up north topped them with the leftover chili and shredded Pinconning cheese)
Thursday Chinese takeout
Friday Leftover chinese takeout
Saturday Hamburger Stew (very busy day ahead with Trunk or Treats for the grandkids. This is a freezer meal that is already in the crock pot)
