My Frugal list for the Week
It's been a rather slow week as we get back in to our routine after we came back last week. It seems like you need a vacation from your vacation! Don't get me wrong we loved the time away, but we appreciate home a lot more when we return.
Made great use of our leftovers this week. After giving away our chickens we found that we had a lot more leftovers to use up.
I bought 3 whole chickens at Kroger for 88 cents a pound, it was all they had. Hamburger prices were unbelievable there but we have found another place that has it on sale next week.
We had to replace the yard light this last week. We tried to do without one but we all feel safer with it out there. Although we didn't find one on sale, we found one that uses less electricity.
I used my heating pad instead of the oven to help rise the dough for my bread sticks I made.
I froze the candy we had leftover from Halloween. The night was cold and windy with snow and rain mixed in. We only had two brave kids come to our door. We almost didn't hear them.
I made a extra batch of waffles and froze them for my daughter when she has her baby.
Repaired a pair of my husband's pants.
Make enough Swagbucks to get a $5 Amazon card this week.
Started wearing my slippers, heaviest housecoat, and drinking a warm cup of tea in the morning. Keeps me from wanting to turn up the heat!
I made sure that the recycle bin was full this week. Helps us save trash bags and the environment!
What did you do to save money this past week?
