My Frugal Ways this Past week,What Was On the Dinner Table and My Goals for the Week 7/31/16

Here is a list of the frugal ways I've saved this past week.

Love this You can be frugal and have fun!

We made a day trip up north to Mackinac Island this past week.  I bought the tickets for the boat ride to the island for half price on Black Friday last year.

Love to take the grandkids with us! Mackinac Island Mi

There are no motor vehicles allowed on the island.  You can ride in horse carriages or ride a bike.  We rode bikes which the grand baby loved.  She slept halfway then sang the rest of the way.  The ride around the island is 7 miles.  We did eat out at the half way point but for the return trip home we had a picnic lunch.

Wow just one mornings harvest out of the garden! A lot of money saved!

This is just one mornings harvest.

In the garden I harvested Tommy toe tomatoes, regular tomatoes, zucchini, cukes, and green beans.  We also harvested 7 lbs of potatoes from the school garden.

This is cool -library sales save a lot of money on books!

I went to our local library's book sale and got a stack of books for $3.15.   I'm in book  heaven now.

I did the usual savings of using a big department store bag for a garbage bag, washed out Ziploc bags, hang clothes to dry, and shopped the deals/used coupons.
