My Frugal Ways this Past week,What Was On the Dinner Table and My Goals for the Week 10/2/16

I took iced tea that I got for free from Meijers on my picnic with friends to the apple orchard.  It rained us out but we just had a good time anyway.   We have been getting together just about every month.  We take turns hosting and deciding where to go.    

Grilled extra hamburgers to freeze.

I filled out the Kroger survey.

I harvested lemongrass and lavender.  I just hung them up to dry. 

I clipped last and this week's coupons last night.  I already have my Meijer list ready to go shopping this week.

This past week seemed extra busy and to even think about couponing with sales gave me a headache!  I love that I can go to Aldi's and feel like I'm saving money without worrying about that. I also love that it is a smaller store and I can be done fast.

Total     $47.13  (a lot of junk but we successfully hid most of it)

Last night we went to Kroger's to get some pop and spent $30. That's how it happens!

Monday                     Chili

Tuesday                     BBQ Chicken (freezer meal), baked potato, and corn

Wednesday               Out to eat

Thursday                   Grilled hamburgers and Chips

Friday                        Lunch meat sub sandwiches, potato salad, and coleslaw

Saturday                   daughter took us out to eat

Sunday                      Pizza (frozen meal)

My Goals for this week:

In the Home:

Make some more freezer meals.

Weed the herb garden (rained everyday I had available last week so I only weeded half)

Dry some more herbs.

Clean and organize the pantry.  


Date night with husband


Write two book reviews (only got to one last week).
