I have stopped menu planning for over a year now and I realize after reading Annabelle's post with Laine's letters that I need to get back in to it to save money. It was just the nudge I needed I guess. I love to read frugal blogs they also give me great tips and encouragement.
This week I'm using what I know is in the freezer because I'm writing up this post at 5 in the morning. It's always good for me to do something that's quiet but resourceful when I can't sleep. I also have made my shopping list for Meijer. I plan on shopping there before I go get the children this morning (they are little and want everything).
My plans that will help this menu plan have a great start:
I'm going to print this post out and put it on my refrigerator and make sure I look at it frequently!
I'm going out as soon as the sun comes up today I'm going out to the freezer to grab out hamburger and the garlic bread. I will also make the zucchini noodles up ahead of time.
I switched the menu on the last days of the week so I will just grill the pork chops, chicken, and hamburger steak all at once. Saves me time and money.
My Menu Plan for 8/28/17!
Monday Spaghetti and Garlic bread. I bought a french loaf bread on discount last week and made garlic bread out of it. I will also make a little each of, zucchini noodles, Gluten free spaghetti, and regular. Thank goodness I have enough pots!
Tuesday Homemade pizza (gf and regular). If I am not too tired I hope to make the pizza up Monday night. We can go fishing at the lake if it's not raining then come back, and throw the pizza in.
Wednesday Hamburgers (I already have the buns) and french fries with the new potatoes
Thursday BLT with fresh tomatoes and fried potatoes.
Friday Grilled Rosemary Pork Chops, vegetables out of the garden, mashed potatoes, and biscuits
Saturday Hamburger Steak in a skillet with Red Lobster biscuits (daughter gave me a box), and baked potatoes.
Sunday Rosemary and Thyme Marinated Grilled Chicken, sliced tomatoes, corn, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
What's on your menu?
Be sure to
