What's been Going on at Our Home Today!

It was 42 degrees this morning when we woke up.  Yep, going to sleep last night with the windows open was not a good idea. BRR....felt like a freezer when I woke up.

We managed to get up to a high of 63 with a slight wind.  I hope it straightens back up and gets warm again so I can keep harvesting my garden.  I need just a little more time I tell God everyday.

I'm a little late with this post but I've been busy in the kitchen today.  I canned some green beans and tomatoes. The tomatoes are just now starting to ripen so I only ended up with 2 quarts and a pint.  I use a small canner that I have when I have a small batch like that.  I'll be canning the rest of the beans I have so far tomorrow.

We enjoyed a big tomato sandwiches for a snack.  Oh, it was so good!

I hung some of the zinnias out of my garden upside on my drying rack.  Not sure how well they will dry this way but I so want to preserve them.  I have been making bouquets for my neighbors and my dinner table out of them every week.

Right now I'm making yogurt in the crockpot.  So very easy and frugal.

Well that's all I know for now. We don't like being stuck in traffic so we don't go anywhere on Labor Day. Do you travel on Labor Day weekend?

Have a great one -see you on Sunday!
