Here are the ways I've saved this past week:

I've been learning how to knit!  I've been watching  youtube videos again and found RJ Knits.  He explains it so well that I was knitting in no time. So much to learn yet but so far I'm rolling along. I did have some holes in my work the first time so I've started over again.  I'm so glad I didn't have to pay for a class.

The grand kids came over and they said they were hungry. They are growing so fast!  I took out the last of our Burger King chicken nuggets we had in the freezer and warmed them up.  They were happy and so was I.  The next day we decided to go to Burger King again and stock up again on their nuggets.  Right now they are 10 chicken nuggets for $1.00.  We bought $5.00 worth and froze them right away.  We are ready again for their next hungry visit!

I made yogurt.

It's been beautiful here in the last few days and the temperature has been around 50 degrees. I took a walk both days making sure to savor every moment (free exercise).

Stayed within our food budget.  Everything is more detailed in this post.

This past week has been challenging with no spend January and not cheating as much on our low carb diet.  Last night I felt like banging my head against the wall with the urge of going to McDonald's for a hamburger.  Silly I know, but the urge just got bigger and bigger, like a snowball rolling down the hill.   I didn't want to cheat or spend the money or gas to get there so I finally calmed down and ate some Vienna sausages.  Diet and low spend January has made me a little wild.  Both of them are taking a little time to get used to!

Daughter gave me all her mandolin books so I'll be starting to learn that as well to this winter.

I bought a $5.00 Burger King card with my swagbucks.   It's funny how I get the urge to earn more swagbucks around now.

Goals for this week:

Start looking at the treadle machine we bought.  I have already purchased a belt that I know it needs.  Hopefully there won't be too much wrong with it.

Finish organizing the sewing/computer room.

What are the ways you've saved this past week?
