Turkey Cornbread Dressing Recipe- Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm thankful for each and every one of you and I'm wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving day!

Every year I say I'm going to post my turkey dressing recipe (Mom gave it to me) and I never do.  I think because my pictures of turkey dressing have a lot to be desired, or maybe it's because I'm just too exhausted!

Now, I don't believe you will be able to make this dressing this year but...you can come back next year and the recipe will be there.  You can read my helpful hints on how to get it all put together without killing yourself at the bottom of the recipe.

Turkey Cornbread Dressing'

Ingredients

6 cups of corn bread crumbs
1 onion sliced
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups of biscuit or dry white bread crumbs
3 tbsp. of ground sage  (you can add more or less according to your taste)
6 hard boiled eggs
Hot water or broth to moisten (about 1 to 2 cups)

Combine all the dry ingredients then slow add water or broth till you have it as moist as you like.

Tips:

Make a dinner that requires cornbread and make double. Crumble when cool and freeze till Thanksgiving.

Day before Thanksgiving make a breakfast of biscuits and gravy.  Husband will be impressed and you will have your biscuit crumbs.

You can even buy a can of biscuit dough or I have even used white bread crumbs.

If all else fails buy a box of stuffing mix and don't worry about it.  It's about the time spent with family and friends.
