|Our cat smelling the blooms this morning|
The Flood! The sun is shinning today but let me tell you, we had a lot of rain the last few days. Our area was basically saved with only about 2 to 3 inches of rain but up north of us they had as much as 8 to 9 inches of rain. Two dams have broken and people have had to evacuate. I have heard of flooded homes but no causalities so far. Thank God. So, they now have two emergencies, flooding and the virus. It's been some kind of year!
I wouldn't be surprised if the potatoes haven't rotted in the ground. The cabbages, lettuce, and onions are all doing great. You just take a chance when you plant early or even sometimes late. There is a positive side to this, we now will build two raised beds next Spring. There is nothing like life experiences to help me to do some convincing.
Please leave a comment and let me know how it's going in your neck of the woods.
