Spending the Night at Grandma's

Last week it was the little girl grand child so this week it's the boy grandchild's turn to spend the night at Grandma's.  Usually he is a early bird but he is sleeping good right now.  I'm glad or he would be wanting my computer to play games ha ha.

Last night, I actually just went to bed on him and Pop.  My eyes just would not stay open any longer.  I jumped up to see what was going on one time and they were both looking at a swiss army knife, discussing all the benefits.   I said be careful and then went right back to bed.  I'm pretty sure they rolled their eyes.  I heard a little boy man giggle as I went back to bed.

I think I'll get busy and make that sausage for breakfast this morning.  Perfect day for it!

What is happening in your neck of the woods today?

Aww you are a good Grandma!
Sounds like the grandboy is enjoying his sleepover, and your sausage breakfast sounds so good.
Hope you have a restful weekend

Grandpa and grandson memories never to be forgotten! My kids have talked of special times with my Dad now that he is gone. You are blessed to be able to have those times.

We had breakfast with old friends this morning and they were telling us about their 3 year old grandson who spent 20 days in ICU with the flu this winter. How incredibly hard since they could not be with him all the time because of the crazy virus. I was incredulous that even small children are to be alone in the hospital! Now he is terrified of any medical personnel. Wow! This world has gone nuts.

Lana, I'm so glad the little boy is better. How terrifying for him. So many cannot see loved ones because of the virus while they are in the hospital and I know it's for the best with the virus. It's a hard thing to deal with it though especially for the young who don't understand at all.
Seems like everyday we have to deal with a new catastrophe. The world is a little wild right now. We need to hang on tight and it will get better.

What a special thing to do giving each of them their own time...they will have some great memories of being with you both.

Our numbers are still going up & people are still not wearing masks. My daughter-in-law's family is planning a celebration on the 4th & my son does not want them to go....ugh. I can't say I want them to go either but I'm keeping my opinions to myself. How can I ask her not to see her family when we see them almost every day?

Her sister just had a miscarriage & is struggling....it's her 4th miscarriage I think? & she lost one baby at birth. She has 5 children as well so her life is very full. So my dil is taking my grandson to stay with her & help out this weekend.

It all causes me to worry but what can people do? We need our families during a crisis especially. My son has to work so he can't keep our grandson while she's gone. And I expect she doesn't want to ask us to do even more....though I really don't think she'd leave him with us because he wants to see his cousins so much.

So I am staying home. I had lab work done yesterday..first one in so everything was super clean & I left before anyone else came. I did grocery pick up without going inside. This morning I went to a nearby wholesale store to buy 3 more masks & some reading glasses...I broke mine. It wasn't bad but none of the employees were wearing masks.

Jenny, Oh the family thing is so heartbreaking. I had three nieces graduate -which in itself was such a disappointment without the ceremony and then they had to cancel their open houses. They asked first to see if anyone would come then realized only a few really would.
I just couldn't say yes because it was more than family and I'm not sure about them all. I sent a gift to each one.
It's a scary time and I'm glad your being safe.
Your DIL sounds like my daughter with our grandchildren. She just doesn't want to ask so much of us but really we can handle it without a problem. Although I've said when this is over Jenny we are going on a honeymoon! Ha ha

What's with people not wearing masks I don't know. It doesn't hurt my goodness. Just made two more and making more in the morning. I'm going to wear them and !know you will.

A honeymoon sounds wonderful! Somewhere far away from people but with full service so I don't have to lift a finger...is that possible?
