Chores!

We had chores when I was a teenager.  Mom and Dad both worked second shift so we had to help clean up.  There was no choice. Sometimes though, that cleaning up came late at night right before they came in the door. Listen, Mom expected it done!  Being teenagers though we always seemed to make  mad scramble to get it done as fast as we could because we had watched t.v. or read all night.   We  got it done though (there was no dish washer).

I feel a little like that this weekend.  I need to make a mad scramble to get somethings done.  Not a lot mind you but it helps to write them down and get them organized in my head.

So here is what I need to accomplish:

My Weekend To do List:

File a whole bunch of papers (yep this was left over from last week)

- organize toys in the living room and vacuum

- Help daughter with a project

- Mop the kitchen floor

If I could just get those basics done I'll be happy!

We need to get off the couch and take a huge load to the thrift store. We'll see!

It's very hard sometimes to get off the couch. The load will be easy compared to that!

Going two whole weeks without my grandson got me ahead on a lot of cleaning. So today I'm puttering but I do always have a cleaning/to do list.

Today: make two batches of tomato spread, finish laundry, straighten public living areas

That's it. If I feel the spirit move me I'll do more.
The tomato spread is done, laundry is almost done. When I putter I play alot between chores.

And I admit to still doing the last minute rush clean ups....just before my husband comes home from work. He never would say anything about it but I hate to look like a bum when he's been working all day.

I remember doing that kind of bliss cleaning with the husband at work too! We do more than housework though.
I love that it you feel the spirit move you! Perfect saying.

I have a list that I try my best to accomplish each day. I do a better job of it if I don't sit in my favorite comfy chair. LOL

It's hard we need to make sure we relax too!
