We got a bit more snow last night.  We are below normal in snowfall but it looks like we might be picking it up inch by inch.

The ways I've saved this week:

We went to the bread store and another local store in Lansing  and found some great deals.  Most of the bread went into the freezer. I also was able to buy tubs of cool whip at Aldi's for .49 cents each.

My bill for internet service went up by $15 when my contract expired.  I have a hard time remembering to keep track of this.  So, I made appointment and went in.  He gave me a price $10 lower than my last contract so in total I saved $25 a month by doing this or $125 a year.

I used my prime credit card rewards on Amazon for 2 bottles of detergent that was on sale.  We pay off the bill every month and then I use the rewards. So it's like they were free (I don't recommend that you do this unless you are able to pay the bill before interest has incurred).

How did you save money this week?

It is always a good idea to evaluate monthly bills. You found some really good savings.

We save our Amazon Prime & our Discover cash back for Christmas. And I agree with you...it's always best to pay things off each month to avoid the interest. You aren't really saving much otherwise.

I have a good frugal list this week.
-more free meals from my daughter-in-law. Still eating some of her soup from my freezer & she asked her brother to smoke a brisket then shared it with us!I hit the jackpot with her family.
-I made my fast canned chicken soup & added about a cup of leftover mashed cauliflower to use it up. It made the soup much more creamy & kept me from wasting it.

-Goodwill shopping:
--brand new over-the-cabinet wire basket $3.13 (new $18 at Walmart) This was fun because I'd been pricing these for my bathroom.--a milk glass dish for $1.91 I'd passed this up earlier then regretted it so went back in just to see if it was still there. I love milk glass. --a PJ Masks memory game & pop-out woodland animal set for my grandson. They were $1.21 each. He loves PJ Masks so much.

Samaritan's House...a local charity store: 2 Mary Engelbreit books for .50 each that I'll cut apart for paper crafting. One of them is a large coffee table book with some of her beautiful illustrations. I will frame some of them. Also bought a book by John Wesley for myself $1 ---for my grandson: a Thomas sticker book & Crayola coloring book .50 each, barely used (he colors every single day & I've had a hard time keeping coloring books he fills them up so fast)an alphabet bird book $1 (I'll keep this for my collection but he will love it too), a brand new unopened set of sidewalk chalk for $2(another thing we go through super fast) & a brand new unopened bug kit for $1

So I spent more than I normally do but I needed to get out.

That deal made me so happy. I had to get out and get moving before the storm but it was so worth it.

Great job on getting your internet bill lowered. I hate the way it is always going up. But surprise! Mine actually went down $20. Last year it was #125 through August and then it went up to $129 for the rest of the year. In January it was $129, but this month it went down. they had added 3 or 4 Sports channels to my lineup, which I don't want or use and now they are trying to rope people in by lowering the price until August, when it will go back up. I wonder how that will work out for them. I'm sure they plan to up the price permanently.

You have to really keep up with them with them. They do love to do that with t.v. I always have to call to get a new contract with them and that's where they get me. The contracts only lasts for a year sometimes two. This is for internet only we have an antenna for our t.v.
