Every day I make sure to go outside.  Well, I have to tend to the chickens so that gives me a reason.  There is no snow and sometimes it can be a bit chilly but I enjoy it.  Yesterday though the wind was a real kicker and I think the high was 40.  I didn't stay long.   I did watch the cat next door decide to climb a tall tree to get a bird and then cry as the tree swayed back and forth.  I felt bad for it but laughed, as I seen it climb down backwards really quick and then run for home.  Man, I need to take my camera out more.

You know there are dreams in my head though with the promise of good weather.  Like first and foremost gardening.  So I go out and get as much done as I can so I can roll when the time is right.  I'm picking up tree limbs and even straightening up lawn chairs around the fire pit.  Yep, I'm ready for good weather!

Hang on folks it's almost here!

How's the weather in your area?  Did you get caught up in those bad storms?  I pray everyone is safe and sound.

Yes! Spring is on the way for sure here now and I am ready to get my hands dirty! Those storms crossed over all three of our sons home and ours and we are all fine. At one point we did head into our tiny downstairs bathroom for a tornado warning but all is well. Thank you, Lord!

I just saw the book 'Meet Me in Myrtle Beach'. My late in-laws met there. My late mother-in-law grew up going to Myrtle Beach every summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends. Her and her sister and Mother lived in a hotel all summer along with their maid to care for the girls. She met My Father-in-law the summer she was 17. There is a wonderful black and white photo of them walking down the boardwalk and she is looking up at him with pure adoration. Can you imagine such a life living in a hotel at the beach all summer??

We had rain and more rain yesterday and 50 mph winds. UGH. Had to cover daffodils last night and will again tonight as lows getting to 20's. I am ready for spring - winter giving us it's last hoorah around here.

I'm ready for spring too!
We had lots of rain yesterday, but no bad storms. Sun shining today, and the weekend looks to be cool but nice. Have a great weekend.

I've always gone out every day but the past two years the cold weather has been harder one me. Sometimes I just sit & let the sunshine pour in through the windows on me or light a candle & drink something hot when it's wet & dark.

I found some motivation yesterday & did some deep cleaning. I cleaned the master bath & bedroom, dusted the whole living room & finished all the laundry except for folding one small basket of towels. I would have done more but a friend stopped by to pick up some things I'd been saving for her. We sat on the screened porch (social distancing) sipping on iced lemon water & shivering our little bones off. But it was so nice to visit. She brought fresh homemade chocolate chip madelines...which I inhaled with hot tea as soon as she left...a dozen gorgeous farm eggs from her hens & her last jar of home made pesto from her freezer. My heart is very heavy for her this morning though as she is going through some extremely hard family things right now. I can't see any way out & every single thing that's happened....it's been a big pile of things....her family has been innocent through it all. The mistreatment is epic. No exaggerations at all. Every waking moment I've been saying prayers. I don't know what else to do. One situation is ongoing & the pain of it...goodness. Anyhow, if you pray please pray for my friend & her family.
