Thanks so much for helping to support Vickie's Kitchen and Garden. This last Monday I started up the little green house. I've since planted green peppers, muskmelon, cabbages, and tomatoes. I still want to plant more but life has gotten in the way. I've decided that I'm going to try and work on that today.
I was excited to see the cabbages already poking through. I was so worried you see we have gotten up in to the 80's a couple of days and one day I was late opening the doors to cool the green house down. The temperature inside was 120 degrees! I know that can't be good for seeds but it looks like they made it. Thank goodness. I need to thin some out soon.
Spinach and lettuce both have come up in my winter sowing jugs and I've been transplanting some of them into the raised beds.
I have four apple trees (one is out of view) that are getting buds on them. The one in the back on the far left had me worried a bit this year. I thought I had killed it for sure after trimming a branch I thought to close to the trunk, but it has survived. You know gardening is about living and dying plus doing and learning. Mistakes will be made and thing is to try not to do them again. We just got to get out there and be brave.
Garlic is up in the raised bed!
The curbside shopping ornament I found last week. Right now I've put it in the midst of blackberry bushes and strawberry vines. Things may change.
My Spring flowers have bloomed. I'm in heaven! How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Your garden is looking great!!! It is so good seeing growing things after the winter that we have had. Love your spring flowers. Nothing smells better than hyacinths although I love lilacs too.
I need to set up my minigreenhouse and transplant the tomatoes into bigger pots.
Love what you said about gardening! Thank you! We sure have to be brave to tackle gardening every year. I've already seen my groundhog this spring.
No..i can't believe that your ground hog has come back. I haven't seen one yet but I'm sure they will make an appearance soon. It's so exciting in the spring!
Love your garden! I've been planting some petunias in pots. Have a blessed week!
