Picking Up Trash!
I finally made good on my promise to do something for the earth last month on Earth Day. Of course it's like a month later but really it doesn't matter when you do something. We picked up trash in abandoned lot with the grandkids. It was a good experience for everyone and I was saddened to think people would just throw this stuff out their window or even in the dark of the night walk it over to an abandoned lot. My grand daughter said it made us all feel good but sick at the same time.
We talked about litter all the way home and immediately all took showers.

Thank you! People are just so nasty - I can't believe anyone thinks it is OK to throw trash out a window or onto someone else's property.
Dog and deer remains were even found. So sad..I just don't understand people some days.
Sad, isn't it. Thank you for teaching your grands to take care of our earth.
I was driving home one day, and the car in front of me thew a fast food bag out the window. Made me soooo mad. Trashy people.
Thank you for picking up the trash. My husband and I have done a trash pickup with a church group. Truly amazing how much stuff people throw out. Have a blessed week!
Thank you-great to hear that! I was in high school for the first Earth Day-made a big impression on me. And-when in grade school we had a "clean-up week" and then woodsy owl-give a hoot-don't pollute. Wouldn't think of throwing something out irresponsibly-not just for us but future generations. You are setting such a good example for all!
Oh my it is amazing how much was on that lot. So glad we are all trying to help. Have a blessed week too.
Oh Nancy I was trying to think of the owl saying and couldn't remember. thanks for the reminder! Imagine what our earth would look like if we hadn't stopped littering then.
