Exhaustion...

I'm so tired.  I'll be honest about it, I'm old and out of shape and I painted the bathroom yesterday.  So my knees, back, and right hand hurts from holding that stupid paint brush.

This is a picture of our bathroom about 6 years ago

This all started we we decided we needed an update on wallpaper.  Some of the old was faded and falling down so we decided it was time to get new.  I mean that would be easy and just a one day job, maybe two,  right?  I even stripped the old wallpaper off without a problem the day before yesterday.

Then I looked around and said we need to paint. That's where I made the mistake (looking around).  The ceiling was the worst because I think I dodged that job 6 years ago LOL.  I couldn't put up new wallpaper and have the walls look bad so a trip to the hardware for a gallon of paint and a few new knobs for the cabinets was in order.

Then, I had to get down on my knees and paint the bottom trim, reach above my head for the ceiling, and bend over again and again to reload that stupid paint brush.  I'm writing this to you in the middle of the night because everything hurts and it's hard to sleep. I can't even decide which area first to put the pain medicine on.  Not only that but I keep thinking about putting up that wallpaper...it's a nightmare.  Well, it won't be happening tomorrow because I need a ride away from here!

Thank goodness the floor still looks great.

Next time the bathroom needs a update I'm calling someone.  Well I'll probably have to because I'll be older than I am now LOL.

I do have a older (the word of the day night) post on some helpful hints to help make painting a breeze if you would like to read it here

So, I'm sorry but no Frugal Friday this week.  I did save some money by staying home and working but it was not fun, satisfying but not fun.

Painting is definitely good exercise. I did my bathroom a couple years and remember well. This month it will be other places.
Rest.

and that is why we paid for the entire inside of the house to be painted and then 2 months later paid Amish young ladies (15 to 20) to paint the outside ... Go soak in the tub

Oh man, that stinks! Getting old stinks! It is the same way here. We pay, pay pay for everything we do with pain and exhaustion. Enjoy your day away. We are about to head north to the NC mountains for the day and eat at our favorite steak house mid afternoon for an early Valentine outing.

We had a wonderful day and Sam's there had bread flour! Ours has not had any for about 4 months!

ha ha I've decided to laugh at the go soak in the tub part and not be offended .because that is exactly what I did. We just had the living/dining room painted last year by someone. I think paying for someone is a great option. To think it was Amish young ladies who painted for you..love it!

I'm glad you found your bread flour! It's funny how one store won't have something you need but the other will. We have to make sure we shop multiple stores!
