Husband has spent the last two days plowing out our driveway and 3 others for neighbors. He is so nice but I know he is glad that there is no more snow predicted. I'm just the shovel the patio and clear off the cars with a broom person.
At the beginning of the storm the rain washed away the pretreatment the road crews put down. Now the salt they have spread is not helping as much to melt the very thick ice on the roads. Because of that the grandkids are off school again today for the third time for a snow day. We finally were able to go get them yesterday and bring them over for a few hours. It helped our boredom and theirs!
Before the storm:
I made 2 lasagna's (one for a freezer meal).
Then boom! Our life has been consumed by snow!
Tell me did this storm get you too? How much snow or ice did you get? I pray and hope everyone has power!
or let me know what are the ways you saved this past week?

That’s quite a storm!!! Stay warm and safe!
We had a lot of rain turning to ice - then snow. Ended up about 10" and BIG drifts. Lots of drifting. I got the drive pretty well done this AM - shoveling during the snow and wind yesterday did no good.
Have all I need here - no plans on going anywhere for days.
Stay safe and warm. Hopefully spring will be here soon!!!!!!
no sleet or ice even though they said we would. Got snow and 35 mph gusts off and on so it had drifted. We all in this neighborhood of the boonies LOL sat tight yesterday and are digging out today even though we all know with another round of winds coming in tomorrow we will have drifts again.
That sounds so much like our snow storm from 4 weeks ago. I love the quiet of a snowstorm. I am glad you have power! We have had rain, rain, rain and everything is a muddy mess.
Thankyou Little Penpen, it's very cold so we are trying to stay inside as much as we can!
Oh no Lana, a muddy mess is never a good one!
Oh man, we had almost the same weather Cheryl! That drifting wind is a rough one for sure.
Spring is just around the corner (600 miles down the road LOL).
That never ending shoveling and plowing out is exhausting isn't it? Hopefully all will be over soon for you!
