What's on the Menu this week: Finding New Recipes and Eating those Leftovers 2/22/22!

Have you guys seen the price of a chicken lately?  I've seen them for $15.00.  No lie.  Oh man, I remembered that there is a whole chicken in my freezer and I'm getting it out today.  I think I paid $6.00 $3.56!

We are not going to Sam's this week ..let me repeat we are not going to Sam's this week.  That's where I usually just buy my roasted chicken for around $5.00  but I can spend a lot more.  We always say, since we are here, why not buy a chicken?

I'm also kicking it up a notch and trying other recipes this week.  Family will love them I'm sure.  I have everything in my pantry that I need for these two recipes so I'm good.

I have a whole bunch of recipe books but I looked these up online.  I printed them out so if they are good I'll put them in my folder.

Lasagna is back on the menu this week, the roast we made last week lasted a long time.

Monday        out to eat with a Christmas gift card

Tuesday        Lasagna

Wednesday   Leftover Lasagna

Thursday      Baked Chicken, green beans, and salad

Friday          One-Pan Chicken Enchilada Skillet  (we have some low carb tortillas left)

Saturday      Keto Chicken Patties  (I'm excited for this one)

Sunday        Tacos (no low carb taco shells that I can find but the man wants tacos)

Breakfasts:   leftover hotdogs (this morning 😀), eggs, bacon, and breakfast tortillas

Lunch, your on own.

According to how much energy and time I have this menu could change at any time (sometimes it's much to the delight of my husband). Looks good though doesn't it?

Looks like a good menu, Vickie. I’m not going to Sams club either, just think of the money we will save! :)

Whole chickens are still pretty reasonable here. I saw them for 1.29# last week. I am hearing that Sam's rotisserie chickens are MIA in many locations. I would hate to go thinking I was going to have it for dinner and find the display empty.

M-I tried a new Salisbury Steak recipe and it was so good
T-pork chops and fried potatoes
W-spaghetti and meatballs
TR-smoked sausage and pintos
F-baked tilapia
S-nachos

I'm not sure what happened but they are expensive in Aldi's and elsewhere. Oh that would be terrible to go to Sam's without getting a chicken!

Your menu sounds delicious..loved how you varied it up! Keeps us from getting bored.
Have a great day Lana!
