Update on the Garden:
I was able to can 6 more quarts of green beans. These are white half runner and the last of the beans out of the garden. The yield this year was way down but you know I have beans canned from last year.I have one little pumpkin growing in the Lavendar of all places.
Mustard greens are growing great in my little raised bed. The mustard greens growing in my Green Stalk were attacked by worms so I'm glad I planted some in this space.
Grandson called last night asking if I had any work for him (he needs money for games). Before husband claims him and I don't get a chance, I racked my brain last night for things I needed done by someone younger. I then remembered the bricks in the front yard. Some are incased in the dirt and he can help pull them out. I'll be sure to take pictures before and after for next week. Skippity.

That was smart to plant mustard greens in more than one spot. Six more jars of beans for your pantry is terrific. That little pumpkin is adorable.
Those beans will sure be tasty this winter.
Yay on garden goodness! Those beans are going to taste so good. Glad you have some greens and a pumpkin too. Some years aren't the best garden, but I am thankful for what I can get. I have some raised beds that I put my dogs big fence around them. Would you believe that I looked out and saw a big groundhog at the top of the fence. At least the deer couldn't get in there, but I had no idea a groundhog could climb 6 feet. :D
Glad your grandson is helping with the bricks. Hope they are enjoying school, and I hope you are feeling better.
oh man it was awful walking out there one day Belinda and the mustard greens were eaten down to the roots. Crazy.
Have a great weekend.
You know I've saw a lot of dog fences around gardens around here Kathy. We have a lot of deer but those ground hogs are something else! Working on feeling better thanks for asking!
Yes they will Cheryl. A taste of summer in the winter!
I hope you are feeling better now. I keep a mental list of chores for grandchildren and also our neighbor kids cause they are kind of like grandchildren. It's great to have help!
Good idea Lana -There is always something that needs doing.
We can't wait till he comes again! hopefully soon.
I'm working on physical therapy and there was peace this past week for sure. One more test tomorrow. Surely I'll be done!
