I found one pair of Mom's frames under her bed when we moved it. I decided to use it for my glasses this past week (just cost me $8.00 for them to put my new lenses in).
Froze cherries to make jam later on in the year.
I went through all the recipes I've printed these past few months. I tend to hit the print button and then decide later that the recipe is not for me. I've turned the papers over and I'm now using the other side to print on.
Made daughter a cake for her birthday. She loves chocolate and all I had was a white cake mix. So I added 1/2 cup of cocoa and 2 TBSP. of sugar so I wouldn't make a trip to the store.
Gave the bird house a new roof using our old license plates. They have a partial new metal roof before we do! I still have to paint so I'll show the finished project later on this week
I made a dish scrubbie from leftover vegetable net bags.
I almost forgot I bought 3 new to me blouses and 3 DVD's for grandson to watch at the 1/2 sale at Salvation Army yesterday. Unfortunately the DVD's were not on sale but still I bought 3 for $10.00 and they will be something new for him to watch.
What ways have you saved money this week?
