My Frugal Ways this Past Week, What was on the Dinner Table, and My Goals for the Week 4/24/16

My Frugal Ways this Past Week, My $20 Day! What was on the Dinner Table, and My Goals for the Week 4/24/16
My $20 Day

For some reason I received 2 J C Penny $10 off $10 coupons in the mail.  I'm not complaining at all! I used one towards a new shirt for me (I spent $4.00) and a one towards a nice memory foam pillow (I spent $10.00). Husband loved it and claimed it.  Moving on...

For returning my used ink cartridges to Staples I received a coupon in my email for $8.00.  I also received a extra $5.00 off coupon in the same email.   I bought 2 large packs of Charmin toilet paper that were on sale and a trail mix (spent $4.00).

Used the large JC Penny Bags for garbage bags.

My Frugal Ways this Past Week, My new Pillow-What was on the Dinner Table, and My Goals for the Week 4/24/16

Made a pillow out of material I bought at a estate sale and used stuffing from an old pillow

Went to CVS when we had a appointment out of town- bought 2 Speed stick deodorants for $4.00 after coupons and received $4.00 in ECBs. So they were free.  I also bought Ajax detergent for .49 after .39 coupon from the machine in store.

Went fishing on a date day with husband.  The biggest expense was our fishing licenses but they will last us all summer.

I managed to crochet 2 dish scrubbies.  Would like to do more this week.

Made iced tea syrup every other day.  Iced tea was always ready in the refrigerator.

What was on the Dinner Table This Past Week:

Monday        Date day with husband -burritos at taco bell and then leftovers when we came home.

Tuesday        BLT

Wednesday    IHOP (we used a gift card that was gave to us)

Thursday      We all stood in line at Jimmy Johns for a $1.00 sub. It only took us about 8 to 10 minutes. I did have a backup plan for dinner if the line was too long. They had it organized though and it was a great deal!

Friday            Beef and bean w/rice burritos at home (mainly because someone opened a can of refried beans and i needed to use it)

Saturday         Hamburger stew  (I threw in the rice leftover from the bean burritos and only used half the hamburger)

Sunday           Grilled chicken (marinated with Italian dressing) potato salad, and green beans

My Goals for the Week

Crochet more dish scrubbies.

Start seeds in eggshells. Something fun the grandson can help with. I hope to do this while he is here today.

Help the elementary school I went to with their garden this next week.

Plant the raised bed garden that I was given at the school for the summer.  It's a small plot and I decided to plant potatoes.

Write a book review.  I'm current reading 2 Love Inspired novels in one book, Noah's Sweetheart by Rebecca Kertz  and Plain Peril by Alison Stone. Even though I received just one book  I could only find them separate on Amazon.
