I made 2 and 1/2 pints of salsa and a pint of soup starter. I have been canning the juice that is left over from making the salsa for a soup starter. Hope to make more salsa soon but there may not be enough tomatoes in the garden.
I made some Pizza Hot Pockets for freezer meals.
I made some pickled eggs using the pickle juice from the red hot jar.
Accepted clothes for the grand baby from a neighbor.
Free Ice Cream! On the way home from the fair we went by an ice cream shop. Their sign in the front of their building had our last name. It said "if this is your name stop by for a free ice cream." An ice cream never tasted so good!
Went to see a tree house (free) at our local nature preserve. The show Tree House Masters built it for them.
Took picnic lunch (sandwiches and drinks) when we took kids to the park.
Menu: What was on the table last week:
Monday Homemade pizza pockets
Tuesday Grilled chicken (frozen meal), Biscuits, and green beans (bought from a neighbor),
Wednesday Tacos and Burritos
Thursday Hot wings and baked potatoes
Friday Homemade Hamburgers and Potato chips
Saturday Breakfast for dinner: Sausage, Eggs, and potatoes
Sunday
My Goals for this week:
In the Home:
Make some more freezer meals.
Clean and freshen guest room.
Family:
On a cooler night have a bonfire with the grand kids. We have wanted one all summer (we were going to do this last night but it rained- I can't complain about rain at all).
Blog:
Write a book review.
What ways have you saved this past week?
