My Frugal Ways this Past week,What Was On the Dinner Table and My Goals for the Week 9/18/16

Dollar Store Fall Wreath (just $6.00)

I made a fall wreath for my door.  It was all bought at the dollar store for $6.00.

Placements made for 49 cents!

I found a large shiny plaid bag at Goodwill on sale for 49 cents.  I was able to make 6 placements out of the material.   I think they will look nice on the table from Fall on through Christmas.

I canned 7 quarts of Mustard Greens last week.   It takes a bushel to make 7 quarts.   I'll be picking another bushel this week.

Our neighbor gifted us two steaks.  We go back and forth helping each other when needed.  This was his way of saying thanks.  We loved it!

Shopping (next week I hope to start taking pictures of my deals):

Went to Aldi's and got some great deals for our area!

Milk $1.59 a gallon(we went again last night before to get enough for next week.  The price is higher in the ad we received).

Large watermelon $1.49

Ham for 89 cents a pound.  This will do three meals with a bone leftover for beans.

Also went to Walgreen's and got the shampoo and deodorant on that was on sale.

Menu:  What was on the table last week:

Monday          Bacon, Country fried apples, toast, potatoes

Tuesday          Steak (gift from neighbor) and Baked Potato

Wednesday.     Hamburgers

Thursday.        BBQ Chicken (freezer meal)

Friday              Out to eat

Saturday          Ham, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn

Sunday            Ham sandwiches, potato cakes, and the rest of the creamed corn

My Goals for this week:

Make a birthday cake.

Family:
