Here are the ways I've saved this past week:

I  made blackberry jelly from the juice I canned this past summer.  I had a half quart left of juice and I'm going to save that for Blackberry Dumplings later this week.

We needed to get out this week and we ended up at two thrift stores.  We both bought things we needed in order to help the household.  I found two balls of cotton yarn for .49 a piece at the Salvation Army store and was able to crochet 5 dish cloths (shown above).

We also stopped at the Habitat for Humanity restore and it was their anniversary.  Everything was half off and they had free coffee!  Husband found a sink stopper for .13.  He then used it for parts to fix our bathroom sink stopper. Works perfect!  This is my not my favorite store to look through but I did end up with a free book for the grandson.

We made our own Half and Half ,  Banana Nut Muffins,  English Muffins, garlic bread, and buttermilk.

I borrowed a book from Amazon that I wanted to read this week.  You can borrow one book a month for free if you are a Amazon Prime Member.  Thanks to reader Penny for letting me know!

My menu for this next week:

Sunday      Pizza (frozen)

Monday     Chicken salad (this will be with bread unless I get up enough energy to make the croissants), green beans, and baked sweet potatoes

Tuesday      Auto show for husband's birthday present (we will eat at Burger King -I ordered a $5 gift card from Swagbucks before I started saving them for Christmas.  With our coupons that should help a lot).

Wednesday  I entered my apple donuts in a cooking contest. Wish me luck.  Really this is all for fun.  If I win something it will be a bonus!   This is an long day so we will probably eat out here too -there is a McDonald's close by so we will go there and use our spending money.

Thursday   Pork chops, augratin potatoes, green beans, and biscuits.  After two days of burgers this meal I'm sure will be appreciated.

Friday        Spaghetti and garlic bread

Saturday     Leftovers

Goals for this next week:

Wash kitchen walls and ceiling. Also, wash and dry kitchen curtains and blinds.

Crochet dish scrubbies (we are getting low).

What are the ways you've saved this past week?
