My Menu Plan for This Week 11/25/19

As I was taking the kids to school this morning I told them Thanksgiving is Thursday and that I had already shot and killed the turkey for dinner.  I went on to say that it was in my refrigerator and that I do this every year.  The grandson piped up, "yeah right Grandma if that was the case then why do I see the supermarket packaging every year in the trash?"  Plus, he said, "you can't even throw a ball let alone shoot a turkey."  Well.  Then little granddaughter girl said, "that's illegal anyway." I cracked up laughing.  I can't fool them for a minute.   I'm thankful for those two everyday!

This picture is of two turkeys walking down our road last summer.

Monday                      Ham and Cheese Omelets, hash browns, and toast

Tuesday                       Homemade Pizza

Wednesday                  Out to eat (I'll be busy making turkey dinner ha ha)

Thursday                     Thanksgiving day meal!  Turkey, ham, dressing, shuck beans, corn, and rolls. Pies: coconut and apple

Friday                          Turkey dinner leftovers

Saturday                       Turkey noodle soup

Sunday                         Turkey and Dumplings

What will be on your dinner table this week?

Wise grandchildren you have!
And what a good idea to eat out the day before Thanksgiving. We are hosting this year but I have lots of help with the food.
Happy thanksgiving to you and your family

This Thanksgiving one of my step-daughters is having it at her house on Saturday. I am more traditional and will be making hubby and I our normal Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. We will have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, cranberries, corn from this past summer I froze, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and pecan pie. It's just the two of us but I will be making our own frozen dinners for a later time. Same with the pies they will need to be froze in serving sizes, just for me hubby doesn't like pie.
